My original idea for this blog was to post about my wacky dreams. My brain comes up with stuff from who-knows-where. But sometimes my waking life is like a dream, so I will put some of those stories here as well.
There are times when I’m not sure which is which…however I have photos of my real life. For the pictures in my dreams I’ll find images that are similar to what I saw so you can get an idea of what goes on in my head.
According to Thalia Took, Aurora is the Roman name for the Goddess of the Dawn. Since I am a night person, I’m happily into dreamland about the time Aurora enters. To me it is also the dawn of a new idea.
Funny story about the name, my 88 year old father has a talking wrist watch with an odd sounding accent. When the alarm goes off (at 10:03 PM) it says: “The alarm time is 10:03 PM.” Because it is has digitized diction, he thought it was saying Aurora Time. I have to admit, it does sound something like: thee au-rah-ruhm time. Hear sound.
Just to let you know, my dreams are in great detail down to the color and patterns of wall paper. I can remember in depth conversations with people my brain has made up, just as if it happened in real life: full surround sound, include smells and tastes, sometimes spanning what seems like an entire day.
They can even roll over into dream night. For example, it is not uncommon for me to fall asleep in my dream, then dream, wake up and tell someone the dream in my dream. I once did the wake up three times before I actually woke up for real. It can be disorienting.
Some of my dreams are prophetic. Unlike a déjà vu that has a feeling in waking like it happened before, I will have a dream that does actually happen. Creeps people out. They will remember when I had the dream, sometimes as long as 3 years before, and it had seemed far fetched at the time, we had a good laugh, and then it happens.
I hope you enjoy my blog. My goal is to post something once or twice a month. Please sign up so you can get a notice when I post something new.
